I am a Vice President on the
Global Technology Applied Research AR/VR team at JPMorgan Chase. I am also an Affiliate Scientist of the
Princeton HCI group. My research interests include social computing, computer-mediated communication, mixed reality, and physiological sensing.
Previously I was a Research Scientist at
Snap Inc. in the HCI team, where I designed novel technologies to promote self-expression and social connection between people. I led several research projects focused on
smartwatch communication with biosignals,
digital handcrafting in AR,
understanding AR activism, and
disability representation in avatars.
I graduated with my Ph.D. from the Human-Computer Interaction Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. My
thesis focused on
expressive biosignals, or sharing physiological data as new types of cues to foster empathy and connection in social interactions. I was advised by
Laura Dabbish and
Geoff Kaufman, and was part of the
Connected Experience and
eHeart Labs. In the past, I was a software engineer at LinkedIn on the Content Ingestion team.
